A half-dozen Cave-drakes, Colddrakes, and Land-drakes found that the caves of the Nan Angmar provided comfortable lairs. Fell Beasts, cousins to the Winged-drakes, preferred underground nests located at higher elevations; in the Misty Mountains, as in the Ered Luin, they flied by night to avoid the Great Eagles. Corlagon, a Winged-drake, was the greatest of these terrors. He resided above the Rist Anghiril, a pass in the Hyarjargsh connecting the Ettenmoors of Rhudaur with the Nan Angmar near Litash. Corlagon rarely ventured into Angmar proper after the founding of Litash, but instead hunted goats high in the mountains and caru on the northern fringe of the Ettenmoors. Almost fifty feet long and possessing a hundred-foot wingspan, the dragon dwelt in an immense cavern with a dozen Troll slaves and a considerable pile of treasure. He served as a convenient border guard for the Witch-king.
(character) journeyed among the frozen heights at the northern tip of the Mountains. As he did so, a great rushing wind tore at him and a vast shadow momentarily blocked the sky above him. Looking up in alarm, he found himself faced by a Dragon, one of the Great Worms, Morgoth's mightiest creations. This one was large, even for a Dragon, and was covered with red scales that gleamed with golden flecks. He had heard tales of this Dragon. He was called "Corlagon". The Dragon regarded him for a moment, then spoke. "Who seeks to cross my domain without paying for passage? And what will you pay to avoid my wrath?"

If gold or artifacts are offered to a dragon and your character does not have the required artifacts in inventory or your nation's treasury does not have the required gold, Combat will take place.
There was a rumour that offering 10K gold would recruit Corlagon for a DS.
A dragon Lord offering 10K gold was attacked but survived on 25 health. I think the table should be changed to Injured/Killed. - Thanks to Greg Shaffer for the info.
Offering the sword Aeglin # 125 may have some significance to Corlagon so he may be recuitable this way. In fact, any artefacts may work because Corlagon the Red hoards treasure and artefacts.
