Welcome to the months of Summer! Oh, you say that doesn't really mean so much? Well, tell that to the playtesters of Middle-Earth PBM™. You see, ME-PBM has the same seasons as we do in real life. So those poor folks in the mountainous north are breathing a sigh of relief that summer is on the way. On the other hand, the poor souls stuck in the southern deserts are not looking forward to the summer months at all! Well, fear not, guys. Fall is only a few months away.
When summer arrives, can the national Game convention be far behind? Origins is being held in Baltimore, MD this year over the fourth of July eekend. Those of you who can make it there will have a great time! Bill Feild and I will be sharing space with ICE and promoting ME-PBM. Come by to see the new game, to talk about any of our games, or just shoot the breeze! We're always glad to see and meet our players. And, you never know, people who drop by always seem to have one of those "Well, could you just let me know if" questions answered. Come on by!
Registrations have already started coming in for the first games of ME-PBM. We will send you your 2x3 color map of northwestern Middle-Earth immediately and will send you the rules and setup sheets as soon as they are available. We think that you'll find ME-PBM to be the finest game that you have ever played! Many of you have asked for some advance information on the player positions in ME-PBM. Well, you're going to get your wish. Turn to page #21 on this issue and read on! Each of these positions has been given a short description to aid you in choosing just the ones you want to play. Enjoy!
