(Character) had traveled long one day and had begun to look for a good campsite. For some reason, none of the sites "felt" right and he decided to keep looking. Finally, as he was getting tired, he decided that it was just a case of nerves and began to build a fire. As he did so, he felt as if there were eyes behind him that were staring into his back. Finally giving up, he hurriedly put out the fire and began moving away quickly. Behind him, he noticed a mist starting to gather and to pursue him. The mist seemed to be gathering speed and he began to travel faster.

Slyardach is a demonic vampire cloud that goes around sucking unfortunate characters dry and has a challenge rank somewhere between 50 and 75. Slyardach can affect pop center loyalty. He seems to lower the loyalty of the pop center regardless of allegiance. Slyardach: if you defeat the demon in combat, you'll get gold AND/OR a lost list spell, along with a bonus to skill rank. It's possible to get a spell without gold or vice versa. Slyardach serves the Dragon Lord character Lhachglin. It would be interesting to see what happens when Lhachglin has this encounter? I suggest next time this encounter is triggered, you say Lhachgin and see what happens? (Bobbins)
SAY: "Lhachglin", Dark Servants, Feb. 25, 2010, Game 26: As Dragon Lord, I had an emissary Say the word "Lhachglin", and the result was less than fruitful. Here is a copy of my result: Encounter for Tel Azef at 2613, "Lhachglin" The word sounded loud in the quiet of the night. It was then that he realized that he was to fight for his very life. The Demon Slyardach surged up all around him and his weapon flashed again and again but found no substance with which to connect. The air around him dropped suddenly in temperature and a cold hand seemed to grip his very heart. Air began to burn in his lungs and his arms began to slash wildly. Suddenly, he felt himself being attacked by an invisible foe who seemed able to hit him at will. Again he tried to strike a blow, and this time, he felt as if he were closer to success. Just as he began to hope, he was struck down from behind and soft laughter was the last sound he heard before the darkness set in. It was morning when he awoke, and it was also to a great deal of pain. It was only with great difficulty that he was able to continue upon his way." Result: Tel Azef was injured down to 1 health point, but survived.
