Braving the high mountain passes, [Character] became aware of a sound upon the air, heard above, or rather below, the whistling of the wind. A low, slow, regular sussurance, as if the mountains themselves were breathing. With caution, then, she continued onwards, as the sound grew ever louder in her ears, like to someone asleep and gently snoring. Before, finally, she came upon a large cave entrance, edges smoothed and rounded, as was the area of ground before it. Curiosity overcoming her fear, lighting a torch she ventured within, to find a large, almost circular tunnel, worming into the mountain side. She could feel now breath upon her face, hot and sulphurous, her torch guttering, and with every step she told herself that she would turn back with the next, even as she with the next she continued onwards nevertheless. Until finally, the tunnel opened up into a huge chamber, the light of her torch reflecting from the gold and silver and gemstones covering the floor. And reflected also from the scales of the long, pale, worm-like dragon lying coiled upon the hoard, a dragon that could only be Turukulon, and who, even as [Character] stood staring, opened one saucer-like eye to regard her balefully.
